Oil and gold leaf on canvas
"Enchanting Delirium" is about hiding behind a mask, which is seen as beautiful on the outside, mysterious on the inside. I was thinking about girls who take selfies with their cell phones and post pictures of themselves all day that have been edited and manipulated digitally to make them look pretty, but they're not real. No one is real anymore and people are enchanted by phoniness. This was also inspired by the scene in the movie "The Labyrinth" where David Bowie the goblin king dances at the masquerade in Jennifer Connelly's hallucination after the guy she thought was her friend gives her a poisoned peach.
