Oil on Canvas
This was inspired by Frida Kahlo and her garden. She had a plant hanging from the ceiling that resembled a heart. In my painting, the flowers coming out of the heart are oleander and hemlock, two of the most poisonous flowers. The idea was also inspired by a quote from Frida Kahlo: "There is nothing absolute. Everything Changes. Everything Moves. Everything Revolves. Everything Flies and Goes Away." Leaving behind a heart that is damaged.
